Are pets allowed?As our fleet has expanded we will consider requests for pets under a case by case basis. All request must be made and approved in advance.

What's included in the rental price?Pretty much everything you will need for a fabulous holiday. Comprehensive insurance, breakdown and recovery, crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, microwable bowls, kettle, dustpan and brush, specialised toilet rolls, toilet chemicals, camping chairs and table. The bike rack and awing are already fitted to the Motorhome. Bedding can be supplied at a small addition cost.

Do I need a special licence to drive the Motorhome?As long as you have had your driving licence for more than 2 years and you can drive category B vehicles up to 3,500kg you are good to go.

How old do I need to be to rent a Motorhome?You must be over the age of 25 (drivers over the age of 70 must contact us first for confirmation of good health)

I have points on my licence, is that ok?"The licence must be clear of any endorsments apart from up to 6 points for speeding offences (not from a single offence). If there are any other current endorsments or more than 3 points on your licence, special conditions may apply, all endorsements, points and conviction codes must be declared on the booking form. Driving licences will be checked with the Government Website. If in doubt always check with us first.

I have only had my driving licence a year, is that ok?"Unfortunately not, we know you are a safe driver but our insurance company has stated you must have had your driving licence for 2 years before you can hire our Motorhome.

Can we take the Motorhome to Islands such as the Hebrides and Orkney Islands?Yes, the vehicle is insured for mainland UK which includes these Islands. Please note insurance cover is not provided for anywhere outisde mainland UK without prior notification and approval from Scottish Motorhome Hire.

What happens if I have an accident or break something?ALL accidents, damage or defects must be reported to Scottish Motorhome Hire immediately. Phone number will be provided upon collection of vehicle.

What time is pick up and return?Collection is at 2pm and return time at 11am, unless arrangements have been made with Scottish Motorhome Hire prior to collection. Special arrangment can be made with prior approval, If in doubt always just ask.

Is the collection point near a train station or airport?We are based in Helensburgh but can arrange for you to be picked up at a train station or the airport, just contact us with your requirements.
